Hey everyone! The other day I was on a long trip and wanted to download a simple mobile game like the ones I used to play years ago — just pay once and enjoy without interruptions. But everything I found had ads or some kind of in-app purchases. Then I read this article: https://www.jedinews.com/misc/articles/why-pay-once-mobile-games-are-vanishing/, which explains why that model is slowly disappearing. It made me realize how different the gaming experience has become. Do you still look for those kinds of games, or have you adapted to the new style?

Just saw this discussion and it’s an interesting point. Even though I’m more of a casual player, I’ve noticed how common ads and extra purchases have become. It’s kind of the standard now across many apps, not just games. Makes you think about how much the industry has changed and how users just gradually got used to it.
